A Lawn Care Experience Built Around What Actually Matters to You

When you hire a lawn care company, you want someone who shows up when they say they will, treats your property with care, and keeps you in the loop every step of the way. Just Right Lawns delivers exactly that, giving homeowners in Castle Hills a straightforward, results-driven program with no contracts, no surprises, and no guesswork.

How Our Lawn Care Program Works From Start to Finish

Every visit follows a clear, consistent process so you always know what to expect:

  1. A state-certified technician is assigned to your property and your lawn is evaluated to determine the right starting point in the program.
  2. A text confirmation is sent the day before your scheduled service so you are never caught off guard.
  3. Your technician clocks in on arrival, applies seasonally appropriate treatments including fertilizer, pre-emergent, post-emergent weed control, and pest protection.
  4. A door hanger is left at your home explaining exactly what was applied, along with watering and mowing instructions.
  5. A yard sign with a QR code is placed so you can instantly see treatment details and re-entry timing.
  6. Technician notes and service recommendations are logged directly into our system for full transparency.
  7. A post-service email is sent confirming everything that was done and what to expect as your lawn progresses.
  8. The cycle repeats across all eight rounds, with each visit building on the last to steadily improve turf health over time.

Why Homeowners Choose Just Right Lawns for Lawn Care

Not every lawn care company combines certified expertise with the kind of personal accountability you get from a family-owned business. Just Right Lawns is locally operated, and every recommendation made is based on what your lawn actually needs, not what drives up a bill. There are no long-term contracts locking you in, no hidden fees catching you off guard, and real people answering when you call. That combination of integrity, consistency, and communication is what keeps neighbors coming back season after season.

Our 8-Round Fertilization Program for Stronger, Healthier Turf

The Just Right Lawns 8-Round Turf Management Program is designed around the natural growth cycles of Texas grass. Each of the eight annual visits includes a seasonally blended fertilizer application that strengthens roots, improves density, and helps your lawn resist heat, drought, and foot traffic. Paired with pre-emergent and post-emergent weed control and 90-day pest protection targeting fire ants and chinch bugs, each round works together with the next to build real, lasting results. You can start the program at any point in the year, and improvements become more noticeable with every completed round.

If You're Not Happy, We Come Back for Free

At Just Right Lawns, we stand behind every treatment we apply. You deserve results that actually last, and we're not satisfied until you are.

If the problem sticks around after we've treated it, we'll return and make it right at no extra cost to you. No questions asked, no back-and-forth, no hassle.

What's Actually Growing in Your Grass Isn't Always Grass

Weeds are one of the most common and frustrating lawn problems homeowners deal with, and Castle Hills yards are no exception. The regional climate creates ideal conditions for both grassy and broadleaf weeds to establish and spread quickly if left unchecked.

In fact, studies show that a single broadleaf weed like dandelion can produce up to 15,000 seeds per plant annually, making early intervention far more effective than reactive treatments. That's exactly why the approach to weed control here isn't just about spraying what you see but getting ahead of what's coming.

Common Lawn Weeds in Castle Hills

The warm-season climate in this part of Texas creates a year-round growing window for a wide range of weed species. Knowing what you're dealing with is the first step toward getting rid of it.

Weeds commonly found in local lawns include:

  • Crabgrass, a fast-spreading grassy weed that thrives in heat and thin turf
  • Dallisgrass, a coarse grassy weed that's difficult to control once established
  • Dandelions, a broadleaf weed with deep taproots that regrow if not fully treated
  • Clover, a low-growing broadleaf that spreads rapidly in nutrient-deficient soil
  • Henbit, a cool-season broadleaf weed that germinates in fall and blooms in spring
  • Nutsedge, often mistaken for grass, a sedge that spreads through underground tubers
  • Spurge, a heat-loving broadleaf that presses flat against the soil and spreads outward

How Pre- and Post-Emergent Treatments Work Together

There are two primary tools used to manage weeds effectively, and timing is everything. Pre-emergent treatments are applied before weed seeds germinate, creating a protective barrier in the soil that stops new growth before it starts. Post-emergent treatments are used to eliminate weeds that are already visible and actively growing.

Used together at the right points in the season, these two strategies cover both what's in the ground and what's already showing up in your yard. At Just Right Lawns, both pre- and post-emergent treatments are built directly into the 8-round turf management program, so weed control isn't an add-on you have to remember to schedule. It's already part of the plan.

That consistency is what separates professional weed management from store-bought products that offer temporary results at best. DIY options typically address surface symptoms without accounting for soil conditions, weed pressure cycles, or seasonal timing, which means weeds come back and often spread further in the process. A routine, professionally managed program reduces weed populations round by round, while also strengthening the turf itself so weeds have fewer opportunities to establish in the first place.

If you still have questions about how weed control works or what to expect from the program, the answers to the most common ones are just ahead.

This is a bit of an unusual review as I didn’t actually end up moving forward with the service.

But the customer service was top notch even though I didn’t ACTUALLY become a customer (yet).

Long story short, my previous local “lawn guy” was MIA for a period and then re-appeared, so after he did my lawn while I was away, I no longer needed Just Right’s services.

Despite this, they were in constant communication with me about my needs, and canceled my service without issue once they changed
