  • Ongoing monitoring to catch new weed threats early
  • Grub control to protect roots from below-ground damage
  • Lawn disease prevention and treatment
  • 8-round turf management program with no contracts or hidden fees

Why Choose Just Right Lawns for Lawn Care in Leon Valley

There are plenty of lawn care options out there, but most come with locked-in contracts, vague pricing, and crews you've never met. Just Right Lawns operates differently. Every service is performed by a state-certified technician, communication is built into every step of the process, and there are no contracts or hidden fees to worry about. The focus is on honest recommendations and real, measurable results over time. Homeowners in Leon Valley get reliable service from a locally operated team that treats every yard like it matters.

Our 8-Round Fertilization Program

The 8-round fertilization program is the foundation of everything Just Right Lawns does. Rather than a one-time treatment or a generic seasonal spray, each of the eight rounds is timed to match your turf's growth cycle throughout the year. Seasonal fertilizer blends are applied to strengthen root development, improve stress resistance against heat and drought, and build the turf density that naturally crowds out weeds. Over time, the program supports disease resilience and delivers the kind of consistent, deep green color that comes from properly nourished grass. It's a long-term investment in your yard's health, and the results build round after round.

If You're Not Happy, We Come Back for Free

At Just Right Lawns, we stand behind every treatment we apply with a 100% satisfaction guarantee. You deserve results that actually hold up, not a quick fix that fades before the next visit.

If the problem sticks around after we've treated it, we'll return at no extra cost. No questions asked, no back-and-forth, no hassle.

What's Actually Growing in Your Grass and How to Get Rid of It

Weeds are one of the most common lawn problems homeowners deal with, and in warm climates like Leon Valley, they can show up almost any time of year. The good news is that with the right approach, they are very manageable.

Research from the Weed Science Society of America shows that weeds cause billions of dollars in turf damage annually across the country, and most of that damage comes from inconsistent or reactive treatment. That pattern is exactly what a structured, year-round program is designed to prevent.

Common Lawn Weeds in Leon Valley

The region deals with a wide mix of both grassy and broadleaf weeds throughout the year. Some are seasonal, while others can push through during almost any month depending on soil temperature and moisture. Knowing what you are dealing with is the first step toward actually getting control.

Common weeds found in local Texas lawns:

  • Crabgrass, a grassy weed that thrives in heat and bare spots
  • Dallisgrass, a coarse, clumping grassy weed that spreads quickly
  • Dandelions, a broadleaf weed with a deep taproot that regrows if not fully treated
  • Clover, a low-growing broadleaf weed that signals low nitrogen in the soil
  • Nutsedge, a sedge that looks like grass but grows faster and taller than turf
  • Henbit, a cool-season broadleaf weed common in late winter and early spring
  • Spurge, a flat-growing broadleaf weed that spreads across bare or thin turf

Pre-Emergent and Post-Emergent Strategies Built Into Your Plan

Timing is everything with weed control. Pre-emergent treatments are applied before weed seeds germinate, creating a barrier in the soil that stops growth before it starts. These applications matter most in early spring and fall, when crabgrass and cool-season broadleaf weeds are preparing to sprout.

Post-emergent treatments target weeds that are already visible and actively growing. These are applied when conditions are right for the product to absorb into the plant, which means temperature, growth stage, and turf health all play a role in how well the treatment performs.

Both strategies are built directly into the Just Right Lawns 8-round turf management program. Every visit includes seasonally timed applications that account for what weeds are likely to appear and which approach will be most effective at that point in the year. There is no need to schedule separate treatments or guess when to act because it is already handled as part of the routine.

That consistency is also what separates professional treatment from most DIY options. Store-bought products are often applied at the wrong time, at the wrong rate, or without accounting for the specific weeds present. A one-time application rarely delivers lasting results, and without a follow-up plan, weeds simply return. Ongoing professional service keeps pressure on weed populations round after round, which is how turf density actually improves and weeds lose ground over time.

There are plenty of details that come up when homeowners start thinking about weed control, and some of the most common questions are worth addressing directly.

I don't even know they are here until I hear the lawn mower. They come and do the work, clean up anything necessary, and leave. I love the fact they do not bring any attention or disturb me.

Just Right Lawns does a great job with the lawn and their customer service is excellent. Both are so rare these days! You also can’t beat the price.

Due to the winter storm of 2021, my yard looked messed and full of dry and dead leaves and branches. I ordered landscaping maintenance for three hours and finally spent 5 hours for everything even with removing a not very tall dead tree ( 10 feet at least). As well as mulching. IMO, two workers for 5 hours is still efficient.

I haven’t carefully inspected outside after they left. After I do, I will update my review here.

Mulching is placed well. Price is reasonable compared with my previous service provider.
